About Me

I am a life-long learner and passionate about education, learning and communications.

I have a Master of Education (MEd) in Curriculum, Teaching and Learning from the University of Toronto’s Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE). I specialized in Digital Technologies in Education and Comparative and International Development Education.

My courses include AI for education, instructional design, and blended learning.

I understand instructional design models like ADDIE, SAM, and backward design, as well as the application of learning theories to achieve course objectives. Ensuring that courses meet Universal Design for Learning accessibility criteria is also an important consideration for me.

Prior to returning to school, I was a Communications Consultant with the UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS) where I held multiple roles in social media management, publications, and editing. I worked with internal data experts to ensure that messaging reflected organizational priorities and needs.

In addition, I worked as an economist and I am a long-time volunteer with a small non-profit focused on supporting education for girls, globally. In this capacity, I am a part of our communications and grant evaluation teams, and recently organized a workshop at the Comparative and International Education Society conference in Chicago.

Life beyond L&D

I have a Master of Education (MEd) in Curriculum, Teaching and Learning from the University of Toronto’s Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) where I specialized in Digital Technologies in Education as well as Comparative and International Development Education.

Coursework includes AI for education, instructional design, and blended learning. As a life-long learner, I understand instructional design models like ADDIE, SAM, and backward design, as well as the application of learning theories to achieve course objectives.

My varied experiences have one thing in common: I am passionate about education and ensuring that learning and communication meets organizational goals and business objectives.

To do this, I can bring together experiences from communications and finance to create engaging learning experiences.

Prior to returning to school, I was a Communications Consultant with the UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS) where I held multiple roles in social media management, publications, and editing. I worked with internal data experts to ensure that UIS messaging reflected organizational priorities. In addition, I was an economist with Scotiabank and I am a long-time volunteer with the 60 million girls Foundation, a small non-profit focused on supporting education for girls in the Global South. In this capacity, I have supported the Foundation’s marketing and communications, project and grant evaluation, and I recently organized a Workshop at the Comparative and International Education Society conference in Chicago (March 2025). I have a Master in International Affairs from Columbia University, and a Bachelor's degree from Western University.
